Winged cats have been known to exist since the 19th century, but only a handful of people have actually seen—let alone owned—one.

This woman in Sichuan province watched as her beloved kitty grew angel wings on his back last summer after a bunch of female cats tried to mate with him.

"Many female cats in heat came to harass him, and then the wings started to grow," she said.

Geneticists have a less romantic theory. They believe it could be a genetic defect, a skin condition, or the result of poor grooming.

FISH STORY FROM WICHITA EAGLE NEWSPAPER
This was a pretty interesting story from The Sunday Wichita EagleNewspaper a couple of weeks ago. A resident in the area saw a ballbouncing around in the pond and when he went to investigate, it was aflathead catfish who had obviously tried to swallow a child'sbasketball which got stuck in its mouth.
The fish was totally exhausted from trying to dive but unable to,because the ball would always bring him back up to the surface. Theresident tried numerous times to get the ball out but wasunsuccessful. He finally had his wife cut the ball in order to deflatethe ball and release the catfish.
