King Cobra

The King Cobra (Ophiophagus hannah) is the worlds longest venomous snake - growing up to 5.6 m (18.5 ft) in length. Ophiophagus, literally means snake-eater as it eats other snakes. One single bite of this deadly snake can easily kill a human. This snake is even capable of killing a full-grown Asian Elephant within 3 hours if the larger animal is bitten in a vulnerable area such as the trunk.

Its venom is not as toxic as other venomous snakes, but King Cobra is capable of injecting 5 times more venom than black mamba and can result in mortality up to 5 times faster than that of the black mamba. It is quite widespread, ranging across South and South-east Asia, living in dense highland forests.

Marbled Cone Snail

This little beautiful looking Marbled Cone snail can be as deadly as any other animal on this list. One drop of its venom is so powerful that it can kill more than 20 humans. If you ever happen to be in warm salt water environment (where these snails are often found) and see it, dont even think of picking it up.

Of course, the true purpose of its venom is to catch its prey.Symptoms of a cone snail sting can start immediately or can be delayed in onset for days. It results in intense pain, swelling, numbness and tingling. Severe cases involve muscle paralysis, vision changes and breathing failure. There is no antivenom. However, only about 30 human deaths have been recorded from cone snail envenomation.

Blue-Ringed Octopus

The Blue-Ringed Octopus is very small, only the size of a golf ball, but its venom is so powerful that can kill a human. Actually it carries enough poison to kill 26 adult humans within minutes, and there is no antidote.

They are currently recognized as one of the worlds most venomous animals.Its painless bite may seem harmless, but the deadly neurotoxins begin working immediately resulting in muscular weakness, numbness, followed by a cessation and breathing and ultimately death.They can be found in tide pools in the Pacific Ocean, from Japan to Australia.

Inland Taipan

Its venom is at least 200 - 400 times more toxic than a common cobra. The Inland Taiwans extremely neurotoxic venom can kill an adult human in as little as 45 minutes. Fortunately this snake is very shy and there have been no documented human fatalities (all known bites were treated with antivenin).

Ron Mueck's Amazing sculptures!!

Ron Mueck is a London-based photo-realist artist. Born in Melbourne , Australia , to parents who were toy makers, he labored on children's television shows for 15 years before working in special effects for such films as Labyrinth, a 1986 fantasy epic starring David Bowie.

Eventually Mueck concluded that photography pretty much destroys the physical presence of the original object, and so he turned to fine art and sculpture. In the early 1990's, still in his advertising days, Mueck was commissioned
to make something highly realistic, and was wondering what material would do the trick. Latex was the usual, but he wanted something harder, more precise. Luckily, he saw a little architectural decor on the wall of a boutique and inquired as to the nice, pink stuff's nature. Fiberglass resin was the answer, and Mueck has made it his bronze and marble ever since.

She named one of her triplets 'Macarena'...and she is mum of 7,at just 16
BABY BOY AT 14, TRIPLETS AT 15 & GIRL TRIPLETS AGAIN WORLD EXCLUSIVE PICTURE EXCLUSIVE BEST FOR REAL LIFE

She looks like a proud teenager posing with her little brother and six sisters for a family photograph.

But incredibly Pamela Villarruel is the mother of all these seven children.
And she gave birth to all of them by the time she was 16.
Pamela has more children than any other teenage mum in the world and doctors have described her as a 'scientific rarity'.

She gave birth to her son when she was 14 then had two sets of triplets in two years.
'Every day is a struggle but I wouldn't change anything,' says Pamela, who is just 17. 'They are my little miracles. It's exhausting, but the most important thing is that all my children are happy and healthy.
I'll be the best mum I can possibly be.'

Pamela, the youngest of six children, is currently living with her mother Magdalena, a cleaner, and her disabled dad Jose in Leones , a farming town 300 miles from the Argentine capital Buenos Aires . She no longer sees the three fathers of her children.

Until she was 12 Pamela was just like any schoolgirl, excelling in maths and gossiping about clothes and the latest pop bands. Then she met a local boy. 'I thought I was in love and wanted to be close to him so we had sex,' she says. 'I was almost 13 when we did it for the first time. Then I fell pregnant.

'I was terrified as I was so young, but my mum was very supportive, as she had her first baby when she was still young. But I had a miscarriage at three months, which was very frightening. ' Pamela's mother told her about the importance of contraception, yet five months later she was pregnant again by a new boyfriend, 17-year-old Miguel Gonzalez, from the nearby town of Marcos Juarez .

'I never thought I'd get pregnant again and didn't take precautions, ' says Pamela. 'I was in love with Miguel and thought we would be together forever. I was naive.'

Abortion is illegal in Argentina , except in extreme cases such as rape, so Pamela, then 13, had to have the baby. Her son Lisandro was born in June 2005 when she was 14
'Miguel moved in with us in and tried to support me but it was difficult and after six weeks he went back to his family,' she says.

Soon afterwards she began seeing a new boyfriend, 18-year-old Ariel Benitez, an unemployed builder. Within weeks she was pregnant again. 'I really loved him and he loved me too,' she says. 'I know I should have been using contraception but stupidly we didn't. I can't really explain why not.'

But Pamela was stunned when a scan showed she was expecting triplets. 'I couldn't believe it,' she says. 'Nobody in my family had even had twins before.'
Pamela went into labour two months prematurely. In July 2006 she gave birth by caesarean section to three girls - Ludmila, Macarena and Candela - weighing 3lb 12oz, 3lb 14oz and 3lb 15oz. She says: 'It was a very complicated birth. I suffered a lot afterwards.

I was so ill I thought I was going to die.'Ariel stayed with me through my pregnancy but he left when the triplets were four or five months old.' Neighbours and friends rallied round and donated clothes, nappies, shoes and milk. Soon Pamela started seeing a new teenage boyfriend, Franco, and her frantic mother inquired about getting her sterilised.

Magdalenawas told she would need a special order from a judge as Pamela was under 21,so instead the young mum began having contraceptive injections. But after forgetting to have just one jab Pamela became pregnant again and a scan revealed she was expecting another set of triplets.

She says: 'It was much more of a shock as I realised how difficult it would be with seven children.' And last month Pamela gave birth to Martina, Morena and Magali - weighing between 3lb 11oz and 3lb 13oz - five days before her 17th birthday.
Dr Jose Alberto Oviedo, who supervised the birth of all the triplets, is convinced Pamela's incredible brood are a world first. 'There are no recorded cases of any woman giving birth to two sets of triplets consecutively without IVF treatment,' he says. 'As far as I know there are no girls her age with as many children. The odds are astronomical. '

Her triplets are non-identical - each time Pamela produced three eggs, rather than the usual one, which were all fertilised. The council in Leones built Pamela a small house after she gave birth to her first set of triplets, but with seven young children to look after Pamela moved back in with her mother.

It's a tight squeeze - along with her seven children, her mother and father, two of her brothers are still at home and the family get by on social security of £80 a month. 'With seven children I need a lot of help but I hope to move back into my little house.' she says.

'I don't have time for boys now and I'm single. But if I met a boy I would make sure I was careful and don't plan to have more children. I'm going to have a coil fitted.'

A DAY IN THE STRIFE
7am Pamela gets baby food breakfast for eldest triplets and Lisandro.

7.30am Change young triplets' nappies and dress the four children.
8am Breast-feed young ones, topped up with powdered milk.
8.30 amFour eldest taken to nursery.
9am Change nappies. The six triplets are each changed four or five times a day and Lisandro twice.
10am Put on the first wash of day.
11am Cup of tea and a biscuit before cleaning the house.
12noon Second feed for the youngest triplets.
12.30pm Four eldest back from the nursery. Now seven to look after.
1-2pm Change nappies. Feed the older triplets and Lisandro.
2.30pm Pamela has lunch while babies sleep.
4-5pm Children all awake again. Feed all seven and change nappies.
6pm Second clothes wash.
7-8pm Feed youngest triplets and Lisandro. More nappy changes 9pm Bathtime for all seven in two batches.

1. Did you know that butterflies need the warmth of the sun to enable them to fly?
Butterflies are cold-blooded and will not fly if the temperature is below 50 degrees.

2. Fact or Fiction? You will kill a butterfly if you touch its wings?
Fiction, you will not hurt a butterfly if you touch it, although you might rub off some of the color of its wings which are actually miniature scales.
3. There are some species of butterflies like the Red Admiral that actually prefer feeding on rotting fruit and animal dung!

4. Milkweed, the host plant for the monarch butterfly also known as "Pleurisy Root" is also used for medicinal purposes. It is used to treat chest conjestion and pains, dysentry and asthma. Although it has medicinal purpose, do not use to treat medical problems without first consulting your doctor.

5. Butterflies excrete a red liquid which is sometimes mistaken for blood when in reality it is actually meconium, "pupal fluid" which isn't blood at all. It is made up of waste material that is produced during the pupal stage.

7. True or False? Both male and female swallowtails have the "puddling" behavior?
False, only the males of the species gather around mud puddles to sip the nutrients from the mud.

Chances are it is an adult cabbage white butterfly depositing eggs on your cabbage or vegetables in the cabbage family. The caterpillar of the cabbage white is velvety and just the right shade of green to blend in perfectly with the cabbage leaves.

9. Fact or Fiction? Birds think that monarchs are a tasty treat?
Fiction, once a bird has eaten a monarch it is definately a reminder NOT to eat another one, for the milkweed that the monarch eats as a caterpillar has a toxic effect when the butterfly is ingested.

10. True or false? caterpillars have bones?
False, caterpillars do NOT have bones, they have over 1,000 muscles in which they use to move from place to place and they can move at a very quick pace. For if you find a caterpillar and place him in a designated place, before you know it , he will have crawled out of sight!

Hokkaido is Japan's second largest island after Honshu, accounting for about 20% of the country's land area, but only 4,5% of its population (5,7 million inhabitants).

The name "Hokkaido" means "Way to the North Sea", and was given to the island after the Meiji restoration. Before that, it was called Ezo, and was mostly populated by the indigenous Ainu.
Hokkaido has a special status in Japan, both politically (it is not an ordinary prefecture), and in the heart of the Japanese. It is seen as a place a vast wilderness, where winter are bitterer than anywhere else in the country (often dropping below -20C degrees).

Hokkaido has however become indispensable to the Japanese economy and even culture. Most of Japan's milk and dairy products come from Hokkaido. Japan's first beer brewery (Sapporo) is also from Hokkaido, and is still one of the country's most popular.

The seasons play an important role in Hokkaido's tourism industry. Winter welcomes skiers and the Snow Festival (see Sapporo), Spring and Summer are reputed for their beautiful fields of colourful flowers so particular to Hokkaido, and Autumn for its crimson and gold landscapes.

This woman in Sichuan province watched as her beloved kitty grew angel wings on his back last summer after a bunch of female cats tried to mate with him.

"Many female cats in heat came to harass him, and then the wings started to grow," she said.

FISH STORY FROM WICHITA EAGLE NEWSPAPER
This was a pretty interesting story from The Sunday Wichita EagleNewspaper a couple of weeks ago. A resident in the area saw a ballbouncing around in the pond and when he went to investigate, it was aflathead catfish who had obviously tried to swallow a child'sbasketball which got stuck in its mouth.
The fish was totally exhausted from trying to dive but unable to,because the ball would always bring him back up to the surface. Theresident tried numerous times to get the ball out but wasunsuccessful. He finally had his wife cut the ball in order to deflatethe ball and release the catfish.

Sukan olimpik akan mula membuka tirainya pada tarikh keramat 08-08-08..wow..
aku masih berpeluang menyaksikan sukan olimpik dunia itu lagi (walaupun sekadar di kaca tv), kali terakhir seingat2 aku sukan yang sama paling aku ingat masa oplimpik di Barcelona , Spain. Sebab masa tu aku suka lagu pembukaan dia...awesome!
